On 25 August 2025, IEM’s Oil, Gas & Mining Technical Division (OGMTD) paid a courtesy visit to the Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corporation (MPRC) at its MoF Inc. Tower headquarters, Persiaran KLCC. The delegation, led by Session Chairman Ir. Muhamad Her with five committee members, was warmly received by MPRC CEO En. Mohd Yazid Ja’afar and his team.
The dialogue centered on shared priorities and opportunities for collaboration. OGMTD outlined its immediate goal to raise awareness among IEM members and the public on MPRC’s pivotal role in strengthening Malaysia’s Oil & Gas Services and Equipment (OGSE) sector. MPRC, under the Ministry of Economy, also highlighted its push for OGSE players to diversify into sustainable and cleaner energy, in line with the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR).
