From 28–30 October 2025, the energetic city of Clark, Pampanga transformed into the beating heart of ASEAN engineering as it hosted CAFEO 43, and IEM proudly joined the momentum in full spirit!
This year’s theme, “ASEAN Engineers: Beacons of Prosperity, Inclusivity, Equity, Resilience, and Sustainability,” set an inspiring tone as engineers, innovators, policymakers and young talents gathered to spark bold ideas for the future of our region.
Over three exciting days, the conference buzzed with insightful forums, technical presentations, innovation showcases, and collaborative workshops. The IEM delegation actively contributed to discussions on smart cities, green energy, digital engineering, climate-ready development, and inclusive progress, proving once again that Malaysian engineers are ready to lead and shape the future of ASEAN.
A proud moment for Malaysia was witnessing the conferment of the ASEAN Engineer (AER) and Professional Engineer (PE) titles to several Malaysian engineers, a testament to our nation’s engineering excellence and commitment to regional impact.
The conference also marked a significant milestone for the region as Timor-Leste was officially admitted as a full member of the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (AFEO), expanding our engineering family and strengthening ASEAN cooperation.
And of course it wasn’t all business! Delegates enjoyed warm Filipino hospitality, cultural performances, tasty local cuisine, and lively networking moments that strengthened friendships and ASEAN brotherhood like never before. Truly, #CafeoSpirit at its best!
As CAFEO 43 wrapped up on a high note, we now look ahead with excitement, where
