Petaling Jaya (10 Feb 2025) – The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) successfully hosted its IEM Chinese New Year Open House 2025 at Wisma IEM, Petaling Jaya, bringing together esteemed IEM Council Members, the Executive Committee, dedicated members, and distinguished representatives from various associations and organisations.
The celebration began with a dynamic and spirited lion dance performance, a traditional symbol of good fortune and prosperity, setting an auspicious tone for the year ahead. Following this, guests participated in the cherished tradition of tossing Yee Sang, a symbolic act believed to usher in luck, unity, and prosperity, further fostering a spirit of camaraderie among the diverse gathering of engineering professionals.
Beyond embracing the festive joy of the season, the event served as a meaningful platform for strengthening bonds and fostering collaboration within the engineering community, reinforcing IEM’s commitment to unity and professional excellence.
